Building the new Oasis Academy Hadley has officially begun. The site, in Ponders End, was officially handed over to the Local Authority at the end of January although Balfour Beatty began work before Christmas.
At the official handover ceremony held at Alma School National Grid presented the developers and the Academy with a commemorative plaque from the gasworks dating back to 1909. The plaque will be placed in the community gardens on the new Academy site.
Students and staff are due to move to the new site in December this year.
