New Academy officially opens

Oasis Academy Hadley held its official opening last Friday with a great sense of expectation that it will become a facility that provides a high level of achievement and a wide range of new and exciting opportunities for its students, as well as for the wider community.

There is already a sense of excitement from staff and students about the possibilities that lie ahead. A new uniform, a fresh look to the current building and an exciting and innovative curriculum form the next few steps for the Academy.

Principal of Oasis Academy Hadley, Lynne Dawes, said, “This Academy has a very bright future.  We aim to treat all of our students as individuals. We aim to make learning both engaging and fun, so that our students want to learn rather than being made to learn. We have high expectations and want our students to have high aspirations too. We want our students to be the best they can be. All of our students will be able to access a wide range of new and innovative activities, and we have a strong staff base who will work hard to ensure that every student achieves their very best.”

Steve Chalke, Founder and CEO of Oasis Community Learning, said, “We are excited about seeing potential realised at Oasis Academy Hadley. We firmly believe that every person matters in this community and as the Academy moves forward, we believe that every person will benefit from the Academy facilities and provision. Lynne Dawes is an exceptional Principal who will help ensure a positive future for all involved.”

Cllr Glynis Vince, a member of the Oasis Academy Hadley School Council and Enfield’s cabinet member for education, children’s services and youth said, “This is good news for the young people attending this Academy and for the local community. It is an opportunity for everyone to work and learn together to discover new ideas and interests. I wish everyone concerned with the Academy great success and I know that we have the ambition and inspiration to achieve it.

“Oasis Academy Hadley is now emerging as a strong force in the area and we are determined that its students will get a new chance.”

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
