Teachers may be making additional arrangements for extra revision classes, both during term time and over half term, for which a separate letter will be sent home shortly.
All Sixth Form students, besides those in Year Thirteen who have finished all of their A2 courses, are to return to lessons commencing Monday 28th June at 8.30am, on which date courses will continue with AS students moving onto study their A2 units and taking part in university and careers workshops. During these three weeks up until the end of term, students are to continue to follow their current timetable (the week commencing 28th June is a ‘week one’ of the timetable), and are from then on to attend all learning groups, assemblies, and General Studies/Personal Effectiveness lessons. Students must attend all of their subjects and not at this stage make decisions about the dropping of subjects or the picking up of new ones.
Throughout this time, our expectations of the Oasis Academy Hadley Sixth Former remain the same; students must attend and be punctual to all lessons and other sessions and must follow the Sixth Form code of conduct and dress code. Students must continue to ensure they sign-in and out at reception each time they enter and leave the Academy. Students who fail to do these things will put their place for next year in jeopardy.
Furthermore, it is important to bear in mind that places on these new and continued courses are conditional. If students do not meet the entry requirements for their chosen subjects in the upcoming exams, they may not be re-offered a place in September. The enrolment date and procedure for all students returning next year will be made available to you at a later date.
On Thursday July 1st a reward trip to Thorpe Park has been booked for the Sixth Form and Year Eleven.
Students are to arrive at the Academy at 7:30am and go straight to the Assembly Hall. We will be aiming to return to the Academy by 6:00pm approximately.
A voluntary contribution of £23.00 is required, covering the cost of travel and entrance to Thorpe Park. If we do not receive sufficient voluntary contributions the trip may not take place. Additionally, students can pay using their VIVOs earned this year. The total cost of the trip in VIVOs is 230. Students must indicate if they are paying for all or part of the trip through their VIVO balance by ticking the correct box on the permission slip below. Students must indicate the amount of VIVOs they wish to use to pay for their place, and pay the remainder of the £23 to Mrs. Henman as outlined below. All allocations will be made on a first-come-first-served basis.
There are a number of restaurants and food courts where refreshments will be available throughout the day. However, these are quite expensive and students will require extra money for this. Alternatively you may prefer to provide a packed lunch. Students who are entitled to a free school meal and would like a packed lunch should tick the box provided in the reply slip below.
Please complete and return the first permission slip, Code of Conduct and Medical Consent Form with payment to Mrs. Henman at student reception between 8.00am and 8.30am or 10.30 and 10.50am by Wednesday 16th June at the latest. Both full payment and submission of the relevant forms are required no later than the this date to book a student’s place. Cheques should be made payable to Oasis Academy Hadley.
By popular demand, the beautiful and exclusive venue that is Forty Hall has been chosen to give an opportunity to members of both Year Twelve and Thirteen as well as staff to celebrate the completion of the year in a relaxed and elegant setting. A light buffet will be available to enjoy but students must ensure they have eaten prior to their arrival.
The evening will begin at 7.30pm when students will have the opportunity to enjoy photographs in the grounds of Forty Hall and around the lake. The evening will end at 11.30pm.

It is imperative that students bring with them an official form of I.D such as a driving license to prove their age and identity on arrival. Security will not permit entry without such proof. Whilst there will be a bar in the Hall selling soft and alcoholic drinks, only those aged 18 or over will be sold alcohol.
Guests must dress smartly with men wearing a shirt and trousers and women wearing a smart dress. Jeans and trainers will not be permitted. Please do not hesitate to contact me for information on local evening wear hire shops.
