Curriculum for Years 7-11

Year 7 students will study the following subjects:

English
Maths
Science
PE
Music
Literacy or MFL
IT
iLearn which comprises of (iCreate (draws from art, technology) and iGlobal (history, geography, RE, PSHCE, Citizenship)

Year 8 students will study the following subjects:

English
Maths
Science
PE
Geography
History
Technology
Art
Drama
Music
My Life (PSHCE/RE, Citizenship)
Literacy or MFL
IT

Year 9 students study the following subjects in the core curriculum:

English
Maths
Science
PE
My Life (PSHCE, RE, Citizenship).

Over three years all will study a single subject over one year in which they will take an exam, all students will study a carousel of subjects in addition in year 9.  They will choose another two option subjects to study in year 10.

Year 10 and 11

Core of English, Maths, GCSE or BTEC Science, PE, My Life (PSHCE Citizenship and RE)

Plus one of three pathways:

• GCSE, GCSE and BTEC, GCSE and ASDAN World of Work (Year 11)
• Prince's Trust XL Club (Year 10)
• A small number of students follow route 4 an off-site tailored made course

Options:

GCSE subjects offered
Business Studies , Drama, Food Technology, French,  History,  ICT, Geography, Media Studies,  Psychology, Science - Triple, Religious Studies, Resistant Materials, Spanish, construction, textiles.

BTEC subjects offered
BTEC Extended certificate (2 GCSE equivalence) and diploma (4 GCSE equivalence): Art and design, Business, Fashion Textiles, ICT, Media Studies, Music, Performing Arts, Sport ,Travel and Tourism,  3D Product design.
