Ofsted Reports

We are a thriving all-through school in Enfield’s Ponders End, is celebrating a highly positive Ofsted inspection. Following their November 2025 visit, inspectors awarded the academy a ‘strong’ judgement across most areas, including achievement, attendance and behaviour, early years, inclusion, leadership and governance, personal development and wellbeing, and post-16 provision.

The report highlights Oasis Academy Hadley as a school where pupils achieve extremely well, where inclusion is “at the heart of the school’s work,” and where leaders are “relentless” in ensuring pupils overcome barriers and thrive. It follows the government inspector’s new report card framework, seeing the academy as one of the first set of schools to receive a visit since the new routine inspections launched late last year.

Inspectors found that pupils across all five key stages make strong progress through the curriculum, successfully applying prior learning to more complex tasks. Pupils eligible for Free School Meals (61% of the school) achieve significantly above national averages, with pupils with SEND also achieving well from their starting points.

Pupils achieve strongly in national tests and are well prepared for their next steps, with Oasis Academy Hadley’s sixth form praised for specialist teaching and outcomes consistently above national averages. This supports many students to become the first in their families to attend university.

The academy’s work to improve attendance, including free daily breakfast and early opening, was commended, resulting in attendance for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND sitting significantly above national averages. Behaviour across the school was described as calm, respectful and underpinned by shared high expectations.

Early years provision was praised for its ambitious, language-rich curriculum, rigorous phonics teaching, and routines that ensure children leave Reception well prepared for Year 1.

The report also emphasises the academy’s strong commitment to inclusion, including swift assessment of need, carefully designed ‘pupil passports’ for pupils with SEND, and strategic use of pupil premium to subsidise enrichment so that all pupils can participate in activities such as photography, 3D printing, performing arts and leadership-focused clubs.

Leaders and trustees were commended for their clear grasp of the school’s strengths and for using data intelligently to drive improvement. Their investment in high-quality, research-based training ensures staff feel well supported in both workload and wellbeing, while giving teachers the tools to excel and continually develop their practice.
