Last month, we were delighted to welcome Karen from Solar for Schools, who delivered a series of inspiring assemblies and interactive workshops for our Year 7 and Year 5 students.

Karen introduced students to the importance of renewable energy and explained how solar power works in an engaging and accessible way. The assemblies captured students’ interest from the start, and the follow‑up workshops gave them the chance to explore solar technology through hands‑on activities.
The excitement was even greater knowing that Hadley has recently installed 500 solar panels on our roof, officially becoming one of the Solar Schools. This real-life connection helped students see the direct impact of sustainable energy within their own environment.
It was a fantastic learning experience for everyone involved, and we’re proud to continue promoting sustainability across our school community.
